  6. Guys i finally found an easier way, download this useful Software called CCleaner, real good for cleaning up stuff on your computer. But also its got its own uninstall software, first disable your Antivirus software such as AVG Norton Avast, etc just in case and uninstall with CCleaner. Worked for me hope it works for you!

  7. You have to disable your antivirus blocker. Mine was avast, I went to settings and disabled under the “smart scan” option, and put the tabs to off. Then try the uninstaller. It didn’t work for me (surprise, surprise) and neither did any of the “product” links. However in the control panel uninstaller it does tell you the date Obrona was installed. I searched through my files from the last month and an obrona file was accessible, so I right clicked and found the folder location and I have now deleted it’s contents manually! Good Luck guys!!! I’m not sure if the ads have gone but it’s looking good!

    1. I couldn’t remove this software using the uninstall utility or by finding the .exe file and deleting it, as the software was running, and the system won’t delete a file being used.

If you open the Task Manager, and use this to stop the OBRONA BlockAds, then you can just delete it without problem.

This seems to have fixed it, and I didn’t need to download any dubious bit of freeware “cleanup” software to do the job.

      Good luck!

      1. This worked. It only shows up in the ‘Processes’ tab. Just look for the name on the left side. Then end it, and go back to the control panel. Thank you!

  8. Windows XP system – I used the “change/remove program” with Avast running – Avast blocked a virus that tried to load from an external uninstaller. All that happened was that the folder was renamed to something starting with “Ioxy…….” . Now when I opened Chrome, I was inundated with bogus screens telling me I needed to update several software programs, including Chrome. I could not delete the files as they were running, but I could rename the folder. Logged off from my normal user to a seldom used user name. Used explorer to then delete the folder. rebooted and I am back to normal.
This program also resets your LAN settings to use a Proxy Server. I had to go in and also deselect Proxy Server in “Lan Settings”
It all started because a tax program for this year requires “Explorer 8” or later to run and I only had ver 7. i could not download it from Microsoft – they told me to upgrade my operating system! I downloaded it from “Softonic” which forced Obrona into the download.
I hope this helps others –
