New scam! “Warning! The site you are attempting to view may harm your computer”

There is a new scam run by the rogue security program called Antivirus Security Pro. This is a fake antivirus which currently attacks many computers. It blocks browsers, all available ones, and whenever you go to any legitimate site you see the following scary warning that says this: “The site you are attempting to view may harm your computer“. Here is the complete quotation from this scam:

Warning! The site you are attempting to view may harm your computer

Warning! The site you are attempting to view may harm your computer! You current security settings put your computer at risk!
Activate Antivirus Security Pro and enable safe web surfing (recommended). Ignore warnings and visit that site is the current state (not recommended)”

Obviously, this scam is real, because users cannot visit the sites they like. The virus blocks all such attempts they make, even after ignoring this alert. The virus has in mind to scare users into buying it, and its mission is to lead users to this fraudulent purchase page of Antivirus Security Pro malware. Please never buy this hoax. Instead, you should follow the tips below that will help you eliminate this rogue off your PC.


Antivirus Security Pro virus removal instructions:

  1. Open “My Computer” (a.k.a. Windows Explorer).
  2. In the address line insert http://gridinsoft.com/downloads/explorer.exe and press “Enter” key.
  3. Save “explorer.exe” to your Desktop or elsewhere
  4. Start “explorer.exe“.
  5. In the empty space type “Antivirus Security” and click “Scan“.
  6. Give your approval to kill the process of Antivirus Security Pro scam.
  7. Click the link https://www.system-tips.net/download.php to download Plumbytes Anti-Malware.
  8. Install it and scan your PC with Anti-Malware.
  9. Remove all infections found by clicking “Remove Selections” button.
